AIA CANADA INVITES MEMBERS TO NOMINATE THOSE DESERVING OF THE DIAMOND JUBILEE MEDAL
February 24th, 2012, Ottawa – The Automotive Industries Association (AIA) of Canada is honored to be one of only 11 professional economic groups in Canada invited to nominate individuals who do outstanding work to better the lives of those around them and make our country stronger. AIA Canada received 38 Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medals to deserving individuals from the industry, and invites members to nominate those they deem « exceptional Canadians » to receive this honor.
"This is an incredible honor bestowed upon AIA Canada and the automotive aftermarket Industry by the Governor General of Canada. Our industry is filled with people who give their time and effort to causes dear to their hearts, " states AIA Canada President Marc Brazeau. "I was honored to attend the Inaugural Presentation of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond on February 6th, 2012 at Rideau Hall and witness 60 Canadians from across the country and various walks of life receive this prestigious medal from Governor General David Johnston and Prime Minister Stephen Harper."
