AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRIES ASSOCIATION OF CANADA

AIA Promotes Two Senior Staff Members

AIA President Raymond Datt is pleased to announce the promotion of Marc Brazeau to Executive Vice President and Deborah Moynes-Keshen to Vice President effective July 1, 2006.

“These two promotions further enhance our ability to effectively deliver a wide range of services and programs to our members across the country” says Datt. “Both Marc and Deborah are longstanding employees of AIA and they have built solid relations with association stakeholders and members over the years.”

Marc has been with the Association since 1995 serving initially as the Manager of Membership and Marketing and for the past 9 years as Vice President. In his new duties, Marc will work closely with me in managing the Association and in providing key executive support to AIA staff, members and key stakeholders. Marc will play an integral role in a number of key areas including membership sales and promotion, issues management, strategic planning, human resources, and government and industry relations.  Marc is a graduate of the University of Ottawa and Humber College in Toronto.

Deborah has been with the Association since 1999 serving initially as the Manager of Information Resources and for the past 3 years as the Manager of Operations and Programs. In her new duties, Deborah will oversee the daily operations of the Association as well as the delivery of membership services, programs and benefits. Deborah will also continue to oversee AIA’s national and regional events and be responsible for Division activities and liaisons.  Deborah is a graduate of the University of York in Toronto and York University in England.

“As a result of this internal restructuring this will open up additional opportunities for me to take on a more direct and active role in dealing with critical industry issues such as aftermarket access to OEM diagnostic and repair information” said Datt. “I will spend more time working with industry, government, coalition partners and other stakeholders to ensure that the concerns and interests of our members are heard and addressed” added Datt.

Please join me in congratulating both Marc and Deborah on their new appointments.
