AIA represents the interests of members at all levels of government to ensure that the needs of the industry are properly communicated and safeguarded.
AIA identifies, researches and addresses government policies (federal, provincial, and municipal) that have or may have an impact on AIA members. AIA is the primary source of information for the Canadian automotive aftermarket industry on regulatory and legislative issues that impact members and the industry.
The Automotive Industries Association of Canada is joining forces with the Canadian Federation of Independent Business to support their efforts in encouraging consumers to choose the cash or interac payment option at point of sale. This initiative promotes the use of less costly payment methods, which are cash or interac transactions. Alignment with this initiative could result in better cash management for many AIA members.
AIA is an active participant on the Canadian Automotive Partnership Council (CAPC); a federal/ provincial/ industry initiative created as a result of the National Forum on Automotive Innovation and Investment in June 2002.
