Speakers Program & Career Fair Requests
Is your school looking for someone from the automotive aftermarket industry to speak to your class? Is your high school hosting a career fair for students?
AIA Canada can help! AIA offers a speakers program to high schools, Colleges and Universities. We also attend career fairs hosted by high schools.
Today’s automotive aftermarket is an international multi-million dollar industry that employs over 220,000 Canadians.
The aftermarket includes manufacturers, wholesale distributors, national distributors, retailers, Collision Repair, Rebuilders and wholesalers. Companies range in size from small owner-operators to large multi-national corporations.
Jobs in the industry are as varied as the industry itself. While there is a great demand for service technicians there is also a wide spectrum of other careers available. Opportunities within the automotive aftermarket include marketing, sales, administration, finance, computer programmers, operations, training and consulting.
The Automotive Industries Association of Canada (AIA Canada) has been serving the automotive aftermarket for over 60 years. One of the services offered by the Association is a national speakers program.
The speakers program offers schools the opportunity to invite someone currently employed in the industry to speak to a class, participate in a parent/student event or a career fair.
By asking AIA Canada to take part in a career fair, we offer tools for students wondering what a career in the automotive aftermarket would offer. From scholarships to an interactive CDRom, AIA Canada has many resources for students and teachers. Any interested school can contact AIA Canada directly via phone, fax or email to request a speaker. Just let us know when the event type, date and duration. AIA will endeavour to match your requirements with an available volunteer.
Like you, the aftermarket industry wants to help students make informed career choices. Let us help you with your next career event!
