Ron Bilyeu – Performance Tuning for Regular Production Vehicles Part 2
This course is for Advanced Technicians who want to take their driveability and diagnostic skills to the NEXT LEVEL. This will be an exciting addition to your business by offering customers improved driveability of their vehicle; improved shifting; improved throttle
response; more torque and horsepower to name a few. The ability to read and see all of the tables, scalers and functions inside the programming prom will improve your diagnostic skills to a new level.

Location: Cochrane Automotive Shop: 73 Chauncey Ave., Etobicoke, ON
John Thornton & Scot Manna – Engine Mechanical Testing
This class will cover engine mechanical testing using electronic tools to verify base mechanical condition and allow for complex en-gine mechanical failure diagnosis. The class will be divided into 3 sections: 1) Relative compression (cranking current) testing 2) In manifold vacuum testing using pressure/vacuum transducers 3) in cylinder pressure testing using pressure/vacuum transducers.
Each topic will include detailed explanations on how to perform the tests, and most importantly, explain how to interpret the results.
The failures analyzed will be broken down into 4 categories: 1) Exhaust path restrictions 2) Valve leakage 3) Cam timing errors 4) Intake path restrictions. This class will benefit any driveability technician who needs to determine engine mechanical faults.

Saturday – April 22: 8:00am-4:30pm
Location: Hilton Garden Inn, Mississauga
AM Scot Manna – Logical Diagnostics 2017
This class presentation will illustrate how a common sense, logical testing approach will allow a technician to tackle any diagnostic problem they may encounter with greater confidence. An examination of the diagnostic processes typically employed will be discussed first. Any vehicle diagnostic challenge requires 3 main elements, an understanding of system operation, the necessary testing tools, and the determination of a qualified technician. All of these requirements will be shown in a detailed fashion with the use of Powerpoint and actual vehicle case studies.
