On September 12th, as part of its workforce renewal initiatives, the Division organized an internship fair at the Compétences-2000 vocational training centre in Laval.

In the context of the skilled labour shortage, the initiative aims to establish contacts between students completing the automotive mechanics training program and local garages. About 40 graduating students from two groups who will soon receive their diplomas of vocational studies in automotive mechanics attended and met big banner representatives who were accompanied by local garage owners. The event was a resounding success and contacts were established for future internships.

The initiative includes two components:

-   the first component is a classroom meeting with the students at the beginning of their study program to explain what the aftermarket is and the career opportunities it offers;

-   the second component is an internship fair organized for the same students at the end of their program in order to help them find internships and, eventually a job.
