AIA is pleased to inform its members that AIA Senior Research Analyst, Chanel Ghazzawi, has accepted the position of Manager, Research & Policy at AIA Canada.
As you may know, market research is a pillar of the AIA mandate and has been a valuable service for our members and the industry as a whole. In recent years, this portfolio has grown immensely in its purpose and impact. In the past 18 months, AIA has been working hard to establish a robust and impactful research platform, and it became clear that AIA research could indeed be more than ‘market research’, but that it could include data such as member satisfaction data, policy work, and member segment specific trending.
The big question was the ‘how’ to get there. To help us, AIA created the Senior Researcher position in 2015; brought Chanel onto our AIA team, and tasked her with figuring a plan of action. Chanel was given an increasing amount of responsibility over her short time at the Association and has proven to exceed every challenge that was presented. In recognition of the direction the Research and Policy program is now going at AIA, we are pleased to promote Chanel to the role of Manager, Research & Policy. She will take on increased responsibility for developing strategic partnerships, creating research and policy guidelines, and integrating data into all aspects of member communication and member services.
