Canadian Manufacturing Coalition's Annual Manufacturing Day at Queen's Park
AIA Canada and some of its Ontario-based members participated in the second annual day of action for member associations of the Canadian Manufacturing Coalition and their company representatives at Queen's Park in Toronto. This annual event is a critical component for building momentum and support to secure changes in the business environment needed to help Ontario manufacturers grow at home and abroad.
Collectively the coalition met sixty-eight MPP offices, including the Premier, three Ministers, fourteen Parliamentary Assistants, and twenty-seven Critics from the NDP and Progressive Conservative parties. In addition, participants met with nine Deputy Ministers and fifteen Chiefs of Staff and policy advisors from the Premier's office and various ministries.
AIA would like to thank Steve Gushie, President of CARQUEST and Jason Kerr, AIA's Director of Government Relations for attending a number of the meetings that took place on December 2. We would also like to thank Mevotech CEO, Ezer Mevorach for representing AIA at the event's opening reception the evening before.
AIA is proud to be one of the fifty-five member associations that make up the Canadian Manufacturing Coalition.
