Are you passionate about financial management and investment strategies? Automotive Industries Association of Canada (AIA Canada) is seeking two (2) dedicated members to volunteer for our Audit and Finance Committee. This committee plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial health and accountability of the association.
Purpose: The Audit and Finance Committee assists the Board in overseeing the integrity of AIA Canada’s financial statements, audit reports, financial reporting process, and appropriate utilization and protection of cash resources and investments.
Responsibility: Key responsibilities include maintaining transparent communication between the Board, external auditors, and management. The committee is responsible for reviewing a long-term financial plan and strategy to ensure the financial viability and growth of AIA Canada. Regularly reviewing and adhering to the association’s Audit and Finance Committee Charter, and Investment Policy.
Committee member qualifications:
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
- Experience in investment and risk management is an asset.
- Ability to attend four (4) committee meetings per year and actively participate in discussions.
- Must be an AIA Canada member in good standing.
- Commitment to upholding the association’s values and mission.
