New technologies, new skills, new thinking and constant disruption can be difficult for any industry to navigate. This is why AIA Canada is even more relevant today than ever.

As the VOICE and the RESOURCE for the Canadian aftermarket, AIA Canada plays a vital role to the industry. Equipping the industry with information of new trends and technologies, ensuring access to vehicle data, providing tools to assist with human resource needs and labour shortages, and keeping our finger on the pulse of new regulations and revised legislation are just a few of the things we do everyday to build a stronger aftermarket.

Come join us at the largest networking opportunity for those involved in the Canadian aftermarket industry.

*Please note that this is an English speaking event.

Keynote Speaker:

Tony ChapmanTony Chapman

Tony Chapman is one of the youngest individuals to be inducted into the Marketing Hall of Legends, a testament to a career where he founded and built two internationally renowned branding communications agencies and a research firm, focused at getting his clients the attention they deserved. Four television documentaries, including one from Australia, have profiled Tony's thinking on consumer and customer engagement.

Five years ago, Tony sold his remaining media assets to speak his mind at conferences and in the media. He has delivered inspirational keynotes to audiences in China, Spain, Poland, Scotland, England, Brazil, and across North America.

Tony is a frequent contributor to the conversation on national television, radio, and in newspapers. He is also the host of the podcast Chatter that Matters.

Keynote Speaker Session:

A Brand New Decade - Are you Ready to Roar?

Welcome to a brand new decade, the decade of disruption. Artificial intelligence, the platform economy, purpose, and profit, an age of noise, all compounded by a changing climate and population, will force us to re-think and re-imagine how we engage our customers and earn their loyalty.

In this opening keynote, Tony Chapman will talk about how how to embrace change by focusing on the desired outcome, laddered to a higher purpose that will turn headwinds into tailwinds and whispers into roars.

Speaker Sessions:

The sustainable future of the Automotive Aftermarket

Presented by Georgian College Automotive Business Program Students

What keeps your kids up at night? The environment? Recycling? Going green? Find out how the automotive aftermarket can react and remain sustainable in the eyes of future generations. Small actions can yield significant results. Are you ready?

Focus on the right-to-repair and access to vehicle data

The modern vehicle is a digital device. Cars send and receive wireless information and their sensors collect immense amounts of data needed for vehicle repair and maintenance. Today, automakers own the modern vehicle’s communication loop, meaning they control the data collected. Can the aftermarket compete if automakers maintain their control of and access to the vehicle communication loop and wireless vehicle data?

Addressing talent shortages and skills gap

With technological changes coming to the aftermarket faster and faster every day, are there enough trained technicians to go around? Will your business be able to attract the high-tech employees you need? Will you be able retrain the staff you have today to work on the cars of tomorrow? We'll look at how the industry can build the aftermarket’s workforce of the future.
