AIA Canada announces the appointment of Michael Paul to its leadership team

The Automotive Industries Association of Canada (AIA Canada) is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Paul to its management team, as Executive Director for Eastern Canada upon the retirement of Roger Goudreau who served as the Executive Director, Quebec Division for 3 years. Michael will provide support and guidance to AIA Canada’s Quebec and Atlantic Divisions, and assist in moving forward the Association’s government relations activities and membership services programs.

An industry veteran, Michael has held senior management positions with Valvoline Canada since 1996,and at the time of his retirement in 2018, he was national DIFM sales manager.

Before joining Valvoline, he was general manager of the industrial maintenance firm of GSF Canada, and held a number of management positions with Petro Canada.

Michael has been an active member of the automotive aftermarket community, having served as vice president, president and past president of AIA Canada’s Quebec Division from 1998 to 2004. He was a founding member of Quebec’s used oil and filter program, la Société de gestion des huiles usagées (SOGHU), and served on their board of directors from 2004 to April 2019.

“I am thrilled to be joining the AIA Canada team and look forward to working with the Quebec and Atlantic division volunteers as well as all the association members and stakeholders,” said Michael Paul. “My goal is to support all members and to ensure that the association’s objectives and priorities are met.”
