AIA Canada announces the appointments of industry veterans to its senior leadership team

March 6, 2019

Ottawa, ON – March 6, 2019 – The Automotive Industries Association of Canada (AIA Canada) is pleased to announce two new staff appointments to its senior management team. Linda Donnini will be joining the Association as vice-president, member relations, and Sean Corcelli as executive director, Alberta Division.

Linda Donnini comes to AIA Canada with over fifteen years of automotive aftermarket experience, having held senior positions at NAPA Auto Parts and Uni-Select. A true industry insider, Linda will bring her extensive knowledge and years of experience in creating added value for customers and clients to the AIA Canada membership experience.

“Being passionate about the automotive aftermarket, I am excited to be joining such a dynamic team to represent all the players in this important market in Canada,” said Linda Donnini. “I look forward to working with all stakeholders involved to ensure continuous engagement and value.”

Also joining AIA Canada’s leadership team, Sean Corcelli is an aftermarket veteran. He began his career with Acklands, Ltd (later Acklands-Grainger) in 1980. Later into his career, he moved to Uni-Select in 2002 when it purchased Acklands-Grainger’s automotive assets. Sean spent the next fifteen years at Uni-Select, retiring in 2017 as regional vice president, Prairies Division. Sean has been a dedicated member of AIA Canada throughout his career, serving on the board of directors from 2000 to 2003 and as national chairman of the board in 2002. Having called Alberta home for many years, Sean is eager to lend his expertise to AIA Canada’s Alberta Division.

“My objective as executive director, Alberta Division shall be to support our very able Northern and Southern Division volunteers,” said Sean Corcelli. “I hope to play an integral role in the formation of the Automotive Service Associate Program (ASAP) within AIA Canada.”

“Both Linda and Sean will bring years of industry experience to AIA Canada,” said President Jean-François Champagne, AIA Canada. “They come with an already well developed network of contacts and partnerships within the aftermarket. They know the game and they know the players. They will be invaluable assets to the Association and its members.”

This new organizational structure will allow AIA Canada to drive focus on its membership engagement and expand its reach in the changing automotive landscape with all stakeholders, while identifying future member programs and services. The Association looks forward to the new additions of its senior management team.
