AIA Canada presents award winners at its 2022 Annual General Meeting

The Automotive Industries Association of Canada (AIA Canada) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2022 AIA Canada Distinguished Service Award and the Young Professionals in the Aftermarket (YPA) Young Leader of the Year Award. The award presentations took place during our Annual Conference and 80th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on May 10-11, 2022, in Toronto, Ontario.

Graham Jeffery of the Canadian Tire Corporation was presented with the YPA Young Leader of the Year Award, at the conference’s welcome reception on May 10. The AIA Canada Distinguished Service Award for 2022 was presented to the late Bob Greenwood during the AGM on May 11. John Cochrane, past chairman of the AIA Canada Board of Directors accepted the award on behalf of Bob’s family.

Young Professionals in the Aftermarket (YPA) Young Leader of the Year Award

The Young Leader of the Year Award is presented annually on behalf of the YPA Committee to an outstanding young aftermarket professional for their dedication to the industry, leadership, and innovation.

It is with pleasure to present the 2022 Young Leader of the Year Award to Graham Jeffery.

Graham Jeffery | Vice President – Automotive Merchandising | Canadian Tire Corporation

Graham is Vice President of Automotive Merchandising and Services at Canadian Tire where he is responsible for the overall strategic direction and growth of the automotive general merchandise and auto service businesses. He has served as an AIA Canada board member since 2019.

AIA Canada Distinguished Service Award

The AIA Canada Distinguished Service Award recognizes outstanding service and leadership, which contributes to the growth and development of Canada’s automotive aftermarket industry. It is the highest award presented by AIA Canada to an individual member.

AIA Canada is pleased to present the 2022 Distinguished Service Award to Bob Greenwood.

Robert “Bob” Greenwood had over forty years of business management experience in the automotive aftermarket industry and was president and C.E.O. of Automotive Aftermarket E-Learning Centre Ltd. He was a staunch defender of the automotive aftermarket, an educator, writer, and mentor. Bob passed away on September 9, 2021.
