AIA Canada’s Quebec Division invests in the next generation at CETEMMM’s Gala Méritas
On June 6, the 37th Gala Méritas of the Comité Éducation Travail en Équipement Motorisé du Montréal Métropolitain (CETEMMM) was held at the West Island Career Center in Pierrefonds.
This recognition evening was intended to honour the excellence of the best graduates of the Greater Montréal Automotive Industry Professional Training Centres (CFP). This initiative, which brings together nearly 400 participants, aims to encourage the next generation of the industry and promote professional training. These are priorities for the automotive services industry in the current context of skills shortages and challenges related to technological change and the electrification of vehicles.
Several members of the Quebec division were present at the CETEMMM Gala Méritas to support the next generation of our industry.
Élisabeth Lambert, President of the Quebec Division, on behalf of the Division and AIA Canada, presented Raymond Savard Scholarships in the amount of $500 each to three deserving students.
Congratulations to Justin Brigden, Justin Binette and Mouhamed Ndiaye for their success.
The students honoured come from nine different Greater Montreal Professional Training Centres and were selected by mechanical and auto care teachers based on the following selection criteria: attendance; punctuality; performance; perseverance and work ethic (safety, behaviour, interpersonal skills).
The Professional Training Centres that are part of the CETEMMM cluster are: West Island Career Center, CFP Laurier MacDonald, Nova Career Center, École des Métiers de l’Équipement Motorisé de Montréal, EMS de Laval , CSPI-Centre Daniel Johnson, AVIRON et CFP Access Guimond.
