Be part of the AIA Canada Board of Directors: submit your application

AIA Canada’s Board of Directors plays an important role in keeping the Association focused on fulfilling its mandate to its members and to the Canadian auto care sector. Each year, members are asked to recommend new directors to take the place of those who have completed their terms. This year, three directors need to be appointed. Any member of AIA Canada can submit an application or recommend a candidate to the nominating committee to be considered for the 2024 Board of Directors via the form below. Please note, Directors must be employed by an AIA Canada member company in good standing. 

The nominating committee is responsible for proposing the slate of new directors  based on the recommendations received from membership. Afterwards, AIA Canada members are invited to vote on the selection at the Association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM). 

Your recommendations for appointment to the AIA Canada Board of Directors can be made by completing the online form belowby no later than February 29th, 2024. 

What makes a good board member 

A board member must act in the best interests of the entire Association, willingly share their own knowledge and expertise, and be willing and able to devote time and effort to the Association on a volunteer basis. 

Other skills and experience that help support the goals and strategic direction of AIA Canada include: 

  • finance at a strategic level 
  • government relations influence, knowledge or access 
  • executive management skills 
  • knowledge of Installer Sector in Canada 
  • previous volunteer experience, preferably with AIA Canada 


Being on the AIA Canada Board of Directors is a significant responsibility. The Association and its members count on the Board to help guide our efforts to build a stronger, more resilient auto care industry. 

Directors generally serve a three-year term and must be able to attend at least three board meetings each year. 

Recommendations and/or applications for appointment to the AIA Canada Board of Directors must be submitted by completing the following form no later than February 29th, 2024.
