Keep up-to-date on COVID-19

AIA Canada has developed a shared file that keeps industry stakeholders up to date on COVID-19. The file lists, by province, the status of the province (restrictions, etc.), updates (supports to employers and workers) and resources (region-specific information on COVID-19). The file also includes national-level information.

Employers operating during COVID-19 – Make sure to follow public health guidelines

While operating during the pandemic, businesses are required to follow public health guidelines.

Many provinces have issued alerts about the enforcement of public health guidelines and have means for the public to submit complaints about businesses that they feel are not operating in compliance.

Can your business support government during COVID-19?

The federal government and some provincial governments are seeking the support of Canadian businesses in fighting COVID-19.

The Government of Canada has requested support from manufacturers. More information can be accessed here:

Are your employees eligible for the Canada Emergency Relief Benefit?

The online portal to apply for the Canada Emergency Relief Benefit (CERB) opens Monday, April 6. Workers who are eligible for the CERB can expect $2,000 ($500 per week) for a 4-week period in a single payment. If a workers situation continues, they can re-apply for payment for multiple 4-week periods, to a maximum of 16 weeks (4 periods).

The CERB is available for workers who:

  • residing in Canada
  • are at least 15 years old;
  • have stopped working because of COVID-19 or are eligible for Employment Insurance regular or sickness benefits;
  • had an income of at least $5,000 in 2019 or in the 12 months prior to the date of their application; and
  • expect to be without employment or self-employment income for at least 14 consecutive days in the initial four-week period.

How the program works

  • Members select their departure city from the drop-down menu
    1. Choose Valet or Self-Park where applicable
    2. Enter their outbound and return dates
    3. Click find your rate
    4. The rates will automatically load
    5. Print a copy of the coupon
  • When exiting the lot
    1. Scan the printed Park’N Fly coupon at the Self-Park pay station
  • If members are using a Valet location
    • Hand a copy of the printed voucher to the agent at check-out or give them the discount code 1120313 once the code is entered by the agent the rate will automatically append to the AIA Canada rate program.
  • Discount Code 1120313
  • At check out members simply scan their pre-printed coupon the Valet or Self-Park pay station
  • When exiting the lot
    • Select form of payment
      1. Credit card
      2. Debit card
    • If they have any difficulties simply
      1. Manually enter 1120313 at the pay station and the rate will be applied
    • Scan the Park’N Fly ticket
