Industry Strategy Council

The federal government is creating a new council of business leaders to identify the impacts of COVID-19 on Canadian industry. Private-sector business leaders will be brought together over ninety days to share their perspectives on challenges related to the coronavirus pandemic, including workforce disruption, re-establishing supply chains and consumer confidence.

The council will leverage the federal government’s existing Economic Strategy Tables comprised of industry leaders in advanced manufacturing, agri-food, tourism, digital industries, resources of the future, health and bio-sciences. Industry leaders from retail and transportation will also be invited to be a part of the Industry Strategy Council.
