Renee Perri on growth and opportunity in auto care

March 6, 2026

As part of International Women’s Day 2026, AIA Canada is recognizing women from across the auto care industry, highlighting the experiences, achievements, and successes in their careers. Renee Perri, regional sales manager – aftermarket at CARFAX Canada, has built her career through relationship-building, continuous learning, and a deep-rooted passion for the automotive space she has called home for her entire professional journey.

Getting started in auto care

Renee’s entry into the auto care industry felt instinctive. She began her career at an oil company, where she immediately felt aligned with the work and the people around her.

That early experience solidified her connection to the industry and helped shape her understanding of how critical trust, consistency, and strong relationships are to long-term success. From the start, Renee knew this was an industry where she could grow, contribute meaningfully, and build a lasting career.

Career milestones and recognition

While Renee has experienced several proud moments throughout her career, one of her most recent achievements stands out. In 2025, she was honoured with both the CARFAX Canada Rookie of the Year Award and the Top Performer in Aftermarket Award—after being with the company for less than nine months.

The recognition marked a defining milestone, reinforcing the impact of her dedication, adaptability, and results-driven mindset in a competitive space.

Overcoming challenges through connection

Her career has not come without obstacles, though.  “The biggest challenge I have faced is making a name for myself, as well as the company and associated product I am representing,” she explains.

Her approach has been rooted in authenticity. By prioritizing genuine connections, staying open to learning, and keeping pace with industry trends, Renee has built credibility and trust within her network.

The power of support

Support has played a crucial role throughout Renee’s career journey.  “I have been fortunate to have the constant support of my family, colleagues, and business acquaintances throughout my career,” she says.

Looking ahead, Renee is optimistic about women in the industry.  “I would like to see more women taking on more auto care B2B roles and perhaps see more formal and informal mentorship programs for women considering joining the industry,” she notes.

Her advice for women entering the industry? “You already belong here; no need to wonder if you do! Simply a matter of where and what role you would like to excel in.”
