Scott Sinclair promoted to Director, I-CAR Canada

Collision industry veteran brings 38 years of experience and a strong commitment to advancing training and professional development

OTTAWA, ON, September 1, 2026, I-CAR Canada is pleased to announce the promotion of Scott Sinclair, CAE, Red Seal, Blue Seal, to Director, I-CAR Canada.

Sinclair brings 38 years of collision industry experience to the position, along with extensive knowledge of the evolving needs of collision repair businesses, technicians and industry partners across Canada. Most recently serving as Business Development Manager for I-CAR Canada, he has played an important role in strengthening industry relationships, expanding awareness of I-CAR Canada’s programs and supporting the organization’s continued growth.

In his new role, Sinclair will provide strategic and operational leadership for I-CAR Canada, with a focus on program development, industry engagement and ensuring the organization continues to respond to the rapidly changing training needs of Canada’s collision repair sector. He will also work closely with repair facilities, technicians, insurers, original equipment manufacturers, educators and other industry partners to support access to relevant, high-quality training and recognition programs.

Sinclair’s Certified Association Executive, Red Seal and Blue Seal credentials reflect the combination of leadership, technical understanding and business expertise he brings to the position. His promotion supports I-CAR Canada’s commitment to strengthening collision repair knowledge and skills as vehicle technologies, repair procedures and workforce requirements continue to evolve.

I-CAR Canada is a training and recognition program operated by the Automotive Industries Association of Canada (AIA Canada). I-CAR training has been available in Canada since 1978 and has been operated by AIA Canada since 2010. Training is offered in both official languages through classroom, online and hands-on learning formats.

Individuals can achieve Platinum recognition by completing a series of role-specific courses, while collision repair facilities can achieve Gold Class recognition by maintaining trained staff and an ongoing commitment to skills development.
