International Women’s Day 2026: Celebrating women across Canada’s auto care industry
AIA Canada is proud to celebrate International Women’s Day 2026—a global day recognizing the achievements of women, accelerating action toward gender equity, and championing meaningful progress across all industries.
As we celebrate the accomplishments of women across the auto care sector, we also acknowledge that advancing inclusion remains an ongoing priority. While important strides have been made, continued collaboration and commitment are essential to attracting, supporting, and retaining women at every stage of their careers.
Long considered a male-dominated field, Canada’s auto care industry continues to evolve. In 2026, women are shaping the future of the sector as shop owners, technicians, parts and service specialists, suppliers, educators, insurers, executives, and entrepreneurs. Their leadership, technical expertise, innovation, and diverse perspectives are strengthening businesses, driving performance, and helping address industry-wide challenges such as workforce development and skills shortages.
The industry’s growing emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion has led to expanded mentorship opportunities, leadership development programs, skills training initiatives, and community-building networks designed to empower women to thrive. AIA Canada remains committed to fostering an inclusive environment where talent is recognized, barriers are removed, and everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
